In this video tutorial today I am showing you my process to cosmetically repair chipped porcelain and antique wall accents using a painting technique that I will show you. We have some projects lined up from deals and recent vintage shopping trips that I have made. I showed you in a previous video my finds and told you that I was going to fix them. Many of you asked for a video on this, so here it is. We are starting out repairing 3 porcelain pieces that I have. I show you how to fix a crack, repair a chip and smooth it out. On day 2, I show you how we sand our porcelain for that smooth finish. The next step is to paint to match our vintage pattern without taking away the integrity of our original design. I also show you how I antiqued the wall accents that I purchased from the thrift store. I am using gold paint over an antique bronze base and I show you how I get that aged look on my pieces. These I will show you in another video where we will put them up and incorporate them into our space. As most of you know that watch our channel we like that English Manor style home, full and lush and layered with our collected over time treasures. We like ornate details, such as in baroque or italianate styles. That is the look we are going for with our corbels and wall shelves.
