Hello and welcome to Basic Fishing from New Zealand. In this video, as I always do in my videos, I had set myself a new challenge and this year for 2023, I decided to get myself a pedal kayak. This is no doubt a huge step and challenge for me as I am purely a landbased angler and the kayak will no doubt open up new fishing opportunities for me. I got myself a Native Watercraft Slayer 13 Propel fishing kayak and so far I really enjoy using it. After a series of practice and training on the kayak, I decided to take it out for a small fishing session and with a light trout setup and softbait, I got myself into 3 good size snapper to take home with me. Really look forward to trying more fishing with the new kayak.
