Up the lane to the allotments and then greeted by all the flowers growing in the Feel Good Garden. I bought some orange Erisymum plug plants on EBay last year and they've now grown enough to plant out. Erysimum are perennial wallflowers. I plant them amongst the Perennial Cornflowers which are blue.
I'm not sure that the Hedgehog house is in the right place so I decide to move it to the side of the compost bins. I need to first move 3 containers containing allotment brewed plant food. This includes seaweed, comfrey and borridge and nettle. They've all been in the containers since last year so are a bit smelly. I use the wheelbarrow to move them to around the side of the polytunnel. I empty some out first using a watering can and bucket.
I've already put 2 ladybird houses on the Feel Good Garden allotment plot number 1 so I put another on allotment plot number 2, the bindweed plot.
I planted up my old wellies with forget-me-not spring flowers.
The bindweed plot had some old shed wood and roofing blocking the allotment pathway so I moved it all onto the old compost heap.
Time for a cuppa and enjoy the scent of the hyacinth flowers. The hyacinths are smelling gorgeous. We have a new
bell on the allotment plot shed.
Next job was to dig up some raspberries and make a pathway using bark to make access to the water butts easier. The bark pathway near to that compost heap also needs finishing off.
Polytunnel jobs next and time to pot up the Sunflowers 🌻 for the sunflower 🌻 challenge/grow along. I pot them up in large pots using a dibber to make the holes to plant them and water them using a watering can.
I show you the 3 peanuts that are starting to root for Nanou and Grinche's peanut challenge ( @plot.no9 )
Next I pot on the Covina Broccoli. There's 22 plants in all.
Doug has been busy planting more potatoes on the bindweed allotment plot. There's 2nd early potatoes, Nicola, Kestrel and Picasso.
Danny@TheGrowUpChannel kindly gave me some Pongo Dwarf Beans to sow. They are difficult to come by apparently so I'm really grateful that he shared them with me. Thank you Danny.
Danny@TheGrowUpChannel kindly showed me how to prune the grapevine plant on the bindweed allotment. He also showed me how to take cuttings from the Bush trimmings.
Then it's time for a cuppa with Danny at the Feel Good Garden.
A little bit of footage from the trail camera on the allotment. Nice to see Trevor is still around since moving the Hedgehog house.
Thank you for watching, liking my video and subscribing. I really do appreciate it.
Love from Linda ❤
