How to Build a Concrete Foundation on a Slope for Outdoor Kitchen & Garden Shed - Step-by-Step

In this video, I show how I poured the concrete foundation for my new solid outdoor kitchen and animal house. The stable foundation is on a gabion wall, which is part of the pool terrace, and supports the outdoor kitchen made of gas concrete blocks.

The gabion terrace, which was created many years ago, is being converted into an outdoor kitchen. In the center is a large gas barbecue and a pizza oven. In addition to a cooking area, a sink, fridge and many entertainment options are also planned. In my “Outdoor kitchen” project series, I document the entire construction process.

The foundation for the outdoor kitchen and garden shed had to be built on a stable plateau, supported by gabions and backfilled with soil. Despite the compaction of the subsoil, a robust concrete foundation with steel reinforcement was necessary. In the video I show the preparations, the shuttering, the laying of the reinforcement and finally the filling of the concrete with a concrete pump.
