This isn't my first Adpetus Custodes painting tutorial but it's always worth another visit. They might not be the easiest army to play, but Adeptus Custodes might be one of the fastest armies to paint, especially using this tutorial! You can of course spend hours on each model...or you can get them done to a great tabletop standard and start playing with them! Basing scheme: AK Terrain Texture paste in Firelands-perfect dupe for Martian Ironcrust but a lot cheaper! Allow each stage to fully dry in between! Gryph-Hound Orange (contrast) Ryza Rust (dry) Screaming Skull (layer) Light drybrush over the top!
