How I STOPPED Doomscrolling as a Student (Build an "Analog Basket"!) π§Ίβ¨
Are you constantly exhausted from midterms and falling down social media rabbit holes instead of resting? Same. πββοΈ Recently, I realized my screen time was through the roof, and "doomscrolling" was ruining my study breaks and my mental health.
To fix this, I decided to revisit my favorite childhood hobbies and built this Analog Basket! π§Ί Now, whenever I feel the urge to pick up my phone and scroll, I reach for this basket instead. It has completely replaced my bad habits with creative, screen-free downtime, making my brain feel so much lighter before I have to get back to studying.
Whatβs in my Analog Basket?
π Fiction Books & E-reader (currently reading A Little Life & The Song of Achilles)
ποΈ Coloring books & Sketchbooks
π¨ Watercolor sets & paintbrushes
βοΈ Colored pencils, markers, & oil pastels
π Scrapbooking supplies & sticker books
If you are a high school or college student feeling the burnout or "brain rot," this is your sign to build your own analog basket! Let's romanticize our offline hobbies again. π
