So I wanted to bring a cheap n'cheerful pattern that you can get started on right away. A one row garter chevron repeat and dropped stitches to make it work up quicker? Yes please!
cast on a multiple of 12+13, I did 37. Plus 2 edge stitches makes 39 The garter repeat is as follows: knit edge stitch, k1 *k5, k2tog bl, k4, kfb* to last st k1 do that for 10 rows before starting the dropped stitch rows!
Make it 50" or as long as you'd like. I felted my scarf a little in the washing machine.
