Duplicate stitch is a super easy way to embellish and add color to your knitting. In this video I demonstrate How to work simple Duplicate stitch. You need is a yarn/tapestry needle, and a different color of the same yarn you used for your project. Duplicate stitch is a beautiful way to embellish your knitted projects. Some people are kind of afraid of duplicate stitch but it's really it is just what it says, you're duplicating a stitch. So I've got the same weight yarn threaded onto a tapestry needle. What I'm going to do is come up right at the point of one of the V's and I'm just going to use this pink yarn to duplicate this blue stitch. It's an easy way to add a 3rd color. Also duplicate stitch is a simple way to add intarsia-like designs, repair, mask errores and hide ends in knitted fabric. In this tutorial I will show you how to do the stitch and will be making a heart pattern.
