Total 9sts on the needle now. put a marker on each side of the center stitch. row 1 : k1, yo k to last stitch. yo k 1. row 2: k 1. yo k1tbl, k to marker Yo, k1, yo, knit until yo stitch k1tbl yo, k1. row 3: k1, yo, k1tbl, knit to 1stitch before marker, k1tbl, slip marker, k1, slip marker, k1 tbl. k to last 2 sts. k1tbl, yo, kl. repeat 2&3 until its big enough ending on row 3. Border: cable cast on 4sts. 1: k2, Yo, k1, ssk, turn work 2: slip first stitch as if to purl with yarn in front, knit to end. turn work 3: k3 Yo, k1, ssk. turn work 4: slip one purlwise, knit to end. turn work 5: k2, Yo, k2tog, Yo,k1, ssk. turn work 6 :S1, knit to end. turn work 7: k3. Yo, k2 tag, Yo, kl, ssk. turn work 8: slip one, knit to end. Turn work31,647 9 : bind of first 4 stitches. K2. Ssk. Turn work 10: slip one, knit to end
repeat 1-10 until finished. (To make the center lay nicely avoid the ssk for the stitch before and after the center stitch once by just knitting it through the backloop instead and then next row ssk as normal.)
