K1.- knit 1
yo.- yarn over
yow.- yarn over by wrapping the yarn around the right needle.
p2tog.- purl 2 crossed stitches together.

Notes:
All the “slip 1” are done purlwise.
This stitch is done with 2 double-pointed needles or circular needles.
Slide stitches: Slide stitches to the other side of double-pointed needles without turning work.
Use needle size one number larger than what the yarn calls for.
Color 1: Cast on an EVEN number of stitches.
Base Row.- Color #1.- knit row
K1, k1, *yo, slip 1, k1* Slide stitches.
Row 1.- Color #2.- purl row
K1, yarn to front *Slip 1, yow, p2tog* end with k1. Turn work.
Row 2.- Color #1.- purl row
K1, yarn to front *slip 1, yow, p2tog*, end with k1. Slide stitches.
Row 3.- Color #2.- knit row
K1, *k2 tog, yo, slip 1* with yarn in front, end with k1. Turn work.
Row 4.- Color #1.- knit row
K1, *k2tog, yo, slip1*, with yarn in front, end with k1. Slide stitches.
Repeat these 4 rows.
When you finish your work, end on row #2. You will have the 2 working yarns on the same side. To bind off, you can use the 2 strands held together or only one.
Cast (bind) off loosely by knitting the single stitches and purling the double stitches.
