I tested viral TikTok photography hacks. And I have a lot to say about them.
This week I had a fun time testing viral TikTok photo hacks by Kylie Katich, Marina Williams, and Rebecca X Alison. I tested them for two key things: (1) do they actually work? (kind of a big one) (2) can they be done as self-portraits?
Now that us photographers are no longer able to go out and shoot, I thought it was important to find some creative self portrait ideas at home. And because self-portrait photography at home has never been so popular recently, naturally, I turned to TikTok for inspiration. The results of my quest for TikTok photo hacks at home definitely paid off. From cling film photography to taping a toilet paper roll onto my flashlight, I used some techniques I didn't even know existed and ended up with some pretty awesome photos.
