hobbies especially collecting hobbies are under threat for realistic means to complete sets and TCG/CCG Card games are all ready at the forefront of with people making content solely focused around values instead of the joy the hobby brings.
stamp collecting may not be as popular but it already has people who focus on values rather than the joy.
for me the real joy with collecting is finding something I've not seen or haven't got, apart from the rare occasions that I find something I like separately for example at stampex with wolves.
doing the calculations with the amount of packs needed to complete a full set compared to this single modern day set is outrageous.
a feel that is people continue to focus more on values then the joy and excitement of finding something to fill a empty space and not just when you get a rare/expensive one it doesn't show others the real joy of the hobbies.
