In the 19th century, European nations conducting trade and commerce within the Ottoman Empire set up their own post offices to handle their official mail, because of the unreliable Ottoman postal service. In this video I give a brief historical overview of these foreign post offices and look at the postage stamps issued by 7 of these countries.
